International Students

Come and study at Otago Girls' High School in Dunedin

Otago Girls' High School is the oldest girls’ public school in the Southern Hemisphere. Nestled in the historic university city of Dunedin, our school is home to 720 students, including 20 international students from seven countries.

We take pride in our strong academic achievements, with over 80% of our graduates gaining University Entrance. Our established house system, named after former high-achieving students, fosters a sense of community and tradition.

For our international students, we offer comprehensive 24/7 pastoral care to ensure their wellbeing and success in their studies. Join us in Dunedin, where history and education come together in a supportive and vibrant environment.

Nau mai, haere mai. Welcome to our school. For over 150 years, our school has provided excellence in education. Our students go on to be successful and remarkable.

The school’s vision is that we inspire and empower young women who are courageous, embrace challenges and pursue their dreams.

We look forward to welcoming you to our school.
