Vision
Our vision is that all students strive for the highest possible achievement to be the best they can be, that they value and respect themselves, others and the global community and that they are passionate about learning and pursuing excellence.
Students develop respect for themselves through the core values of integrity, honesty, courage, self-worth and responsibility. Students will acknowledge and foster their emotional, spiritual, physical and social health to achieve total well being, Hauora. The student, staff and community consultations make it clear that we should strive for the highest possible achievement.
Respect for others is central to our vision and encompasses the values of empathy, inclusiveness, friendship, fairness, acceptance of diversity and valuing learning. We care for each other and work together, manaakitaka.
Respect for the global community is the third tier of our school vision. We value justice, peace, citizenship, human rights, guardianship and conservation. We participate actively in our communities and look after our environment.
We are working towards a better future not just for our children but for all things and for all time, kaitiakitaka.

Education Goals
We foster excellence and a love of learning. There is an emphasis on skills as well as knowledge. E-learning facilitates and enriches our learning. We encourage competence in literacy and numeracy. We engage in meaningful health education. We provide a range of exciting and relevant learning experiences outside the classroom.
Students engage in a well-rounded education. They are encouraged to participate and contribute in sporting and cultural activities to complement their academic success. Students also have opportunities to develop social and leadership skills, with older students supporting and helping younger students. Students engage in meaningful career education programmes. Partnerships with local enterprises, schools and community organisations enhance career related learning experiences.
Classrooms are vibrant, exciting and supportive learning environments. Teachers foster positive, learning relationships with students and endeavour to know each learner and develop programmes relevant to them. Students must know why they are learning and be able to make links to prior learning. Teachers focus on strategies that will develop life long independent learners with good research skills.
