Our vision for 'eLearning'

"Otago Girls' High School will use eLearning to ensure that all Students are equipped with the skills to be successful global citizens.

Students' experiences are enriched through a diverse range of learning opportunities. 

Personalised learning experiences are accessible for all ... anytime, anywhere, and all Students understand and advocate responsible ‘Digital Citizenship."

To this aim, we have equipped the school with cutting edge technology - a fast network infrastructure, ultrafast fibre internet connection, wireless network, and computers in labs and pods all around the school. We have a web based email system and an Intranet site which is the central point of information within the school. Both of these can be accessed at school and at home.

As well as our growing number of computers, we strongly encourage students to bring in their own computers to use in class. Students can connect their computers to our high speed wireless network and enjoy safe, fast internet and access to other digital tools and resources.

eLearning is used  throughout all of the curriculum areas and students and staff work collaboratively using a wide range of  ICT tools on a daily basis.
